Conus chaldaeus
The Astrologer’s Cone
The Astrologer’s cone is found in intertidal waters on rocky reef platforms and coral reef rims. This species prefers small pockets and indents in reef. This cone is small with dark brown wavy lines with two white bands. It is often confused with Conus ebraeus but Conus chaldaeus has finer wavy white lines separating its darker colour.
