Tree of Life

With so many different organisms to keep track of, scientists would be lost without a system of organization. They use organizational tools called trees, where each branch represents a group of animals related to each other. Below is a diagram showing this process. A confusing jumble of animals is sorted into a tree, whose system separates plants from insects, and mammals from fungi etc.
